Trevor was 11 months old on the night of April 15 1912. He was travelling with her mother Bess Allison, father Hudson Allison and two year old sister Loraine Allison.
After the collision he was taken aboard lifeboat 11 by the nursemaid Alice Cleaver. The parents were unaware that Trevor had been safely evacuated and Bess stepped off a lifeboat with her daughter to find her son. The decision was to have devastating consequences as Trevor was consequently the only member of the family to survive.
Arriving in New York an orphan, he was was raised by his aunt and uncle, George and Lillian Allison.
Trevor was to tragically die of food poisoning when he was 18, when on his way to start college. He was buried alongside his father in the family plot in Chsterville, Ontario, Canada.
