La Quince was launched in 2013 with a mission to challenge the craft beer scene with aromatic, tasty beers!
The business model is very different to other brewers as they employ an itinerant production model. This means they brew in over 9 different countries.
Hop Fiction is one of the core products of their range and is described as a tribute to their favourite movie and movei director. It is made using a combination of Galena, Centennial and Citra hops.
This beer was a sheer delight from beginning to end. The eye catching pop art styled design of the bottle label gives way to aromatic joy on the nose before a crisp, refreshing and delightfully tasty beer itself.
Smooth in the mouth with a strong citrus flavour, almost like a grapfruit juice with alcohol injected into it. The alcohol is barely noticable and the bitter hues of the the after tate do not linger in the throat.
This is a most enjoyable drink that could be a tipple of choice for a full evening or afternoon with little trouble. We have no hesitation in reccomending this excellent and refreshing offering from Madrid.
*Please note we taste tested a lote at 5.5% but the brewery website lists the beer as 5.4% at the time of publication.
